Then the LORD answered me and said:
“  Write the vision and make it plain on tablets, That he may run who reads it. For the vision is yet for an appointed time; But at the end it will speak, and it will not lie. Though it tarries, wait for it; Because it will surely come, It will not tarry.

Happy New Year!

A New Year, A New You!

2010 is the Year that You Walk in Your Full Potential.

January 1, 2010 was not just another New Year’s Day. In addition to being the first day of a new year, we crossed the threshold of a new decade. So, take ten…days or at least a couple of weeks to think about your vision for 2010. Use this time to reassess your dreams. Think about the possibilities that exist for this New Year.

It’s time to walk in your God-given potential.

This is the year that you profit from your potential. You will profit spiritually through a deeper walk with God. You will profit physically with good health and wellness. And, yes, you will even profit financially. All it takes is for you to prepare, to pursue and to persevere.

Winning starts with Preparation

In order for you to walk in your full potential in 2010, you must start by making the right preparations for success. Most winners, whether it is in sports or business, are able to train their body and minds to prepare them for the rigors of battle with their competition. We too must train. We must prepare ourselves spiritually and mentally for the journey that lies ahead. Prayer and meditation are two excellent ways to strengthen your spirit and mind.

Ready, set, go: Pursue your dreams with all of your heart.

For you to walk in your full potential this year, it is essential that you know what you have been called to do. This requires a lot of soul searching. A good place to begin is with the Lord, in Psalm 37:4, it says to “Delight yourself in the Lord and he will give you the desires of your heart.” Once you receive this divine inspiration, then you need to document your purpose and dreams. In order to win in 2010, you must first write the vision. But, you can not stop there. You have to write the vision and make it happen! The pursuit of your vision and dreams starts with you. You must take the first step. Ready, set, go…

Advance at all costs and when all else fails…fail forward!

Now that you are in motion, actively pursuing your vision and dreams, be “an irresistible force”. Stay the course. Even when the road may get rough, continue to strive for excellence. If you do encounter some minor setbacks, fail forward. Don’t get stuck, keep it moving! If you find yourself having to retreat, do not go backwards. Instead, take a timeout and regroup. Use this time to strategize your next move. It takes perseverance and faith to capture your dreams or fulfill a vision. Press on!

Repeat after me, “It’s 2010 and I plan to win! God has given me the ability to succeed, so I plan on walking in my full potential. I vow to prepare, to pursue, and to persevere on this journey. Through Christ, all things are possible. This year, I will fulfill my vision and achieve my dreams. Amen.”

It’s already done! Now walk in it!

Do you have a vision or a dream that you desire to fulfill?  Maybe it involves an invention, a business, or a new website?  Do you feel like this dream or vision will come to pass?  Well, I say that you have at least conquered the hard part.  The fact that you have realized that you were not put on this earth to merely exist but to fulfill a purpose is the first step towards success.

YOU were actually born to DO something.

We were created by God to accomplish a purpose that will bless others.  All we need to do is recognize the vision, walk in it, and have faith.  Because, it’s already done!

God works from the beginning to the end.  The thing that he has called you to do or put in your spirit to accomplish…it’s already done!  Your task is to equip yourself to walk in it.

Here’s a short poem to illustrate the point that I am trying to convey…

There are thousands to tell you it cannot be done.
There are thousands to prophesy failure.
There are thousands to point out to you, one by one,
The dangers that wait to assail you
But just buckle in, with a bit of a grin;
Just take off your coat and go to it.
Just start in to sing as you tackle the thing
That cannot be done and you’ll do it!

(Excerpt of It Couldn’t Be Done by Edgar A. Guest)

This poem does a great job of showing us that we have to take the first step to walk in our blessings.  Remember when Joshua led the children of Israel across the Jordan River into the promise land?  Unlike when God miraculously parted the Red Sea for Moses, He required Joshua and the Israelites to take the first step, to get their feet wet so to speak.  God parted the Jordan River only after they stepped into the water.

We have to develop the confidence needed to take the first step into our destiny.

Why is confidence so important?

I believe that confidence is very important to achieving your vision and dreams.  A healthy dose of confidence can go a long way toward building the self esteem needed to keep pressing on when things get difficult.

But, please be aware that confidence is one of the most misunderstood traits in the lexicon of human characteristics.  Many of you have heard the saying “There is a thin line between confidence and arrogance.”

This means that confidence is a skill that can be used to achieve success.

If you do not use it correctly, confidence can turn into a negative characteristic like arrogance.  This situation will in evidently turn off people to your products, services, and even YOU.

Conclusion

We are called to operate in excellence.  We must have the necessary skills and confidence to perform at a high standard.

So, if you are truly interested in achieving your dreams, you must first recognize the vision.  Second, equip yourself with the skills necessary to execute in excellence.  Finally, walk in confidence or faith that it’s already done.

Keep the Dream Alive!

Hey LifeTablets Community,

I have a question.

How many of you visualize yourself doing something great?  Or, doing something that has a profound impact on others?

I was thinking about something today that many of you are probably asking yourselves right now:  How do you keep the dream alive after you write the vision?

Many of us yearn to be successful.  So, we all in one way or another, dream about success.

In fact, each of us has our own meaning of what it is to be successful.  Some quantify success as wealth, while others think that it is based on happiness.

The common denominator is that it will take hard work to accomplish what we write as our vision or dreams.

There are three key things that are needed to keep your dream alive:

1.  Perseverance: When everything in you says “Give up!” Tell yourself to “Press on!”

2.  A Positive Attitude: Remember this formula,
Enthusiasm + Effort = Excellence!

3.  Hope:  Trust in God and discover that He has a purpose for your life.  I lean on the scripture that says “Before I formed you in the womb, I knew you; before you were born I set you apart…”  (Jeremiah 1:5).

Write the Vision and Keep the Dream alive!

Introduction to Entrepreneur Category

We are so excited about the re-launch of LifeTablets™ this month.

One of the things that we want to take time to talk more about is entrepreneurship.

Almost everybody we encounter today wants to “do their own thing”.  Many say that home ownership is the “American Dream,” well we believe that owning a business is the “new” American Dream.

All of us have not been called to be entrepreneurs, but for some of us:  It is our calling.  It is our passion.  It is our purpose.

How many of you want to start a small business, a corporation, or even a 501c3?

Many of us desire to own something that we can call our own.  Just remember, you are not in it alone.

We are here to provide you support; to help you connect to your dream and live out your created purpose.

Another one of our goals is to help you focus and stay motivated.  Perseverance is the key to success during the start-up phase of a new business.

Finally, many of you are like us, you have a book or business in your spirit.

Now, it is time to take the next step and write the vision.  Trust us, it helps.

Give it a try and see what happens.

In the meantime, check out this video we found on YouTube and use it as motivation to get started.
